In a post published on his account, Brig. Gen. Mahmoud Khalil Ali (Siamand Afrin) said that the first convoy of Serekaniye displaced residents will depart tomorrow, following the completion of the return of all displaced residents to the city of Afrin, and as part of the stages for implementing the agreement related to the return of displaced people to their original areas.
He said the first convoy includes 648 families and will depart at 8 a.m. from the gathering point in the town of Tawina, opposite Washokani Camp in Hasakah city, heading toward Serekaniye.
Ali added that the Internal Security Forces have taken all necessary security and logistical measures to ensure the safety of returnees and facilitate their arrival in the city, contributing to the consolidation of stability and strengthening social cohesion.
The move comes as part of efforts to return displaced residents to their original areas in accordance with the provisions of the January 29 agreement and in coordination with relevant authorities.
