Optional: app two-factor (2FA)

You can skip this. Security questions already protect password recovery. 2FA adds a code from your phone when you sign in.

1. On your phone, install Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy from the App Store / Play Store.
2. Open the app → tap + / Add account → Scan a QR code.
3. We’ll show a QR on the next screen — point your camera at it.
4. Enter the 6-digit code the app shows to finish.

If you skip, you can turn 2FA on later in Settings → Security.
