Another Military Convoy Attacked in Mastung; Casualties Reported
A Pakistani military convoy was attacked on Friday morning near Masha Allah Hotel in Mastung’s Khadkucha area, local sources said, a day after a major assault on military buses on the same stretch of the Quetta-Karachi highway.
The sources said armed fighters targeted three military vehicles in the latest attack.
Some local sources said the attack had resulted in significant casualties, but no official confirmation or casualty figures had been released at the time of publication.
A day earlier, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for a major assault in Khadkucha targeting buses carrying Pakistani military personnel, their security detail and reinforcements that later reached the area.
The group claimed more than 45 Pakistani soldiers were killed and dozens wounded, while Pakistani officials quoted by BBC Urdu confirmed the convoy had been attacked but gave no casualty figures.
